Even with her non-traditional reddish hair color, she leads the life of a bored class representative who has lost all will to continue as head of the class. That is, until one day when an oddly dressed man with long hair bursts into her class and professes to be her loyal servant and protector. Seeing as how Yoko somehow failed the class about survival instincts, Keiki (the crazed "protector") hands her a sword that only she can use and also infuses her with a water spirit called Jyouyu. Just when things couldn't get any worse, monsters start to randomly appear and attack Yoko with intent to kill her. Normally, this would pose a problem, however, Jyouyu (the water spirit) takes possession of Yoko and does battle in her stead.
